The company is releasing SDKs for Raspberry Pi and ESP32 boards while offering a limited run of pre-made home automation hubs.

Meta has open sourced the code for its Muse AI agent, allowing users to integrate the technology into their own custom hardware. According to reporting from The Verge, the company is providing SDKs that enable developers to program off-the-shelf ESP32 boards or Raspberry Pi setups.

Meta suggests several DIY applications for the code, including deploying Muse on color E Ink displays for reminders, utilizing HDMI sticks for large-screen displays, or building small touchscreen devices similar to the Muse Charm. While Meta encourages these workbench projects, the company warns users to "proceed at your own risk."

In addition to the open-source tools, Meta is releasing a proprietary device called the Muse Home Link. Nat Friedman of Meta Superintelligence Labs stated that the company manufactured 5,000 of these gadgets. The device allows users to utilize community-built skills to control TVs, operate lights, or send documents to printers via local HTTP APIs, provided the user has a compatible setup.

Per the official Muse website, the Muse Home Link is free for subscribers in the United States, limited to one per person, and is scheduled to ship in October on a first-come, first-served basis.
