As The Verge first reported, OpenAI has introduced a feature for its macOS desktop app called Computer History. Furthermore, Ari Weinstein, a Product and Engineering manager at OpenAI, stated on X that the system is designed to automatically ignore any content located within private or incognito browser tabs.

Despite these guardrails, the fundamental shift is clear. We are moving away from AI as a destination—a site you visit to ask a question—and toward AI as an omnipresent layer that observes every movement on the screen.
