Tesla will soon begin rolling out its Full Self-Driving (Supervised) system to residents of the Czech Republic, according to reporting from Engadget. The move follows provisional approval granted by the Czech Ministry of Transport.
Engadget reports that the Czech transportation agency based its decision on a provisional approval previously issued in April by the RDW, the auto regulatory authority in the Netherlands. Before granting approval, the Czech agency evaluated the software's response to speed limits and traffic lights, as well as its ability to ensure drivers remain attentive and prepared to resume control.
With this addition, the Czech Republic joins the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Lithuania, and Slovenia as countries that have allowed the driver assistance system on their roads.
Tesla is now attempting to expand its footprint across the European Union. Engadget reports that a vote could happen as soon as October, with the company needing backing from 15 or more of the 27 member states. The EV maker is also working to win over larger markets, including France, where tests on FSD Supervised are currently underway.
