Predators Prospects Dominate Carolina in Showcase Opener

Nashville utilized a goaltending tandem to stifle Carolina's offense. T.J. Semptimphelter started the game, recording a shutout through the first 30 minutes, while Ben Hrebik took over for the final 30. Hrebik allowed only one goal—scored by Carolina's Zachary Lansard following a Nashville turnover—and later stopped 10 consecutive shooters in an exhibition shootout.
Offensively, the Predators' attack was diversified. Michel Myloserdnyy, a 6-foot-7 defenseman currently without a contract, scored the opening goal on a rebound from a David Edstrom shot. Cole O'Hara added a power-play goal, utilizing a play created by Felix Nilsson to beat Carolina goaltender Ruslan Khazheyev.

Physicality also played a role early in the game. Kalan Lind engaged in a fight with Carolina's Charles Alexis Legault in the first period, with Sports Illustrated reporting that Lind held his own despite Legault having a significant height and weight advantage.
