The tech giant is introducing Meta One, creating a tiered system of AI access that ranges from basic monthly fees to high-cost professional plans.

Meta has launched a new subscription service called Meta One, as TechCrunch first reported. The service is designed to monetize its Muse AI models following a $14.3 billion investment in Scale AI in 2025, which brought CEO Alexandr Wang to the company.

The new structure creates a distinct hierarchy of intelligence access. Individual users can opt for the Core plan at $7.99 per month or the Premium plan at $19.99 per month. While both include features from previously launched tiers—Instagram Plus ($3.99/mo), Facebook Plus ($3.99/mo), and WhatsApp Plus ($2.99/mo)—the Premium tier offers expanded usage of AI tools for generating images and videos via Muse Image and Muse Video, as well as the Restyle editing tool on Instagram. Meta declined to provide specific usage limits, noting they vary by system conditions, surface, and country.

For businesses and creators, the divide is even steeper. Meta is offering four tiers: Essential, starting at $14.99 per month; Advanced, starting at $49.99; Expert, starting at $149; and Max, starting at $499. Higher tiers provide increased capacity for the Meta Business Agent and advanced analytics. Meta also plans to introduce Edits Plus for its content-creation app to provide more cloud storage and AI assistant usage.

This pivot toward subscriptions is already impacting revenue. Data from Appfigures cited by TechCrunch shows that for the week of September 9, Instagram's daily worldwide revenue averaged $1.2 million and Facebook's averaged $528,000. Analysts are projecting significant growth from this model; BNP Paribas forecasts $13.5 billion in added revenue by 2028, while Truist estimates a potential $20 billion increase by 2030.
