DraftKings Odds Reveal Market Favorites Ahead of MLB Trade Deadline
As the August 3 deadline approaches, sportsbooks are pricing the potential movement of stars like Luis Arraez and Kevin Gausman.
With the 2026 MLB trade deadline set for 6 p.m. ET on Monday, Aug. 3, DraftKings Sportsbook has released odds on several high-profile players potentially on the move, as CBS Sports first reported. The market follows recent major deals, including the Detroit Tigers sending Tarik Skubal to the Dodgers and the Mets shipping Freddy Peralta to the Rays, according to CBS Sports.
Among the biggest names, Luis Arraez of the San Francisco Giants is a primary target. DraftKings lists the Rays as the favorite to land the 29-year-old at +320, followed by the Yankees (+450) and Rangers (+500). CBS Sports notes the Giants are positioned as clear sellers following a difficult start to the season.
For veteran pitcher Kevin Gausman, the Braves lead the betting market at +380, with the Phillies close behind at +400. Other notable odds include the White Sox at +500 and the Cubs at +550. Gausman, 35, is currently with the Blue Jays and is set to hit free agency.
Conversely, the market suggests Adley Rutschman is unlikely to leave Baltimore. DraftKings lists "Stay with Orioles" as the heavy favorite at -350, while the Yankees (+650) and Rays (+850) are the most likely external suitors. For Angels outfielder Jo Adell, the odds favor him staying in Anaheim at +210, though the Yankees are the top external candidate at +350.
