The company is leveraging 'vibe coding' to let users build games and interactive sites directly on the AT Protocol.

Bluesky is attempting to evolve the social experience by transforming its feed into a launchpad for user-generated software. At TechCrunch Disrupt 2026, the company announced an expansion of Attie, its experimental AI-powered platform, to allow non-developers to create games, websites, quizzes, and polls, as TechCrunch first reported.

CEO Toni Schneider, who previously served as CEO of Automattic and is a partner at True Ventures, described the initiative as "social vibe coding" or "vibe coding for your community." While Schneider noted that vibe coding is typically a solo activity, Attie is designed to let users build collaborative experiences for groups. The tool integrates with users' ATProto identities and can suggest creations based on public Bluesky profiles. Users have the option to utilize open-weight AI models or provide their own.

According to Bluesky COO Rose Wang, the primary advantage of Attie is distribution. Wang noted that while many people are building tools, distribution remains a challenge; Attie solves this by plugging directly into Bluesky's existing network of 47 million registered users.

The move comes as Bluesky seeks to reinvigorate activity following a decline in engagement, as some users returned to X. Beyond Attie, Schneider stated that the company is focusing on developers and communities, including the alpha testing of private data support for the protocol, which is expected to roll out by the end of the year.
