New user promotions reach up to $1,500 in bonus bets as operators target a slate featuring six ranked-versus-ranked matchups.

BetMGM is targeting the college football Week 4 slate with a promotional offer for new users via the bonus code CBSSPORTS, as CBS Sports first reported. According to CBS Sports, the promotion provides $150 in bonus bets if a user's first wager wins, or up to $1,500 in bonus bets if the qualifying wager loses, though the specific offer varies by location.

From an industry perspective, these high-cap acquisition offers are timed to coincide with a high-volume betting window. CBS Sports notes that Saturday's schedule includes six different ranked-versus-ranked matchups, creating a high-leverage environment for operator acquisition.

As part of the promotional push, the SportsLine Projection Model—which CBS Sports reports has a 22-19 start on top-rated college football picks this season—is highlighting specific values on the BetMGM board. In 63% of its 10,000 simulations, the model projects Texas A&M to cover the spread as an 8-point underdog against LSU. Additionally, SportsLine expert Eric Cohen is targeting the over of 60.5 total points (-112) in the Oregon vs. USC matchup, citing defensive struggles for both teams in early-season play.

Combining these two specific plays into a parlay at BetMGM results in a payout of +264, risking $100 to profit $264, according to the reporting from CBS Sports.
