The defense tech startup's rumored fundraising push reflects a broader industry pivot toward autonomous, low-cost warfare systems.

Anduril is reportedly in negotiations to raise new capital that could elevate its valuation to approximately $100 billion, as TechCrunch reported, citing Reuters. This represents a $40 billion increase over its May valuation of $61 billion, which followed a June 2025 Series G round that valued the company at $30.5 billion.

Reuters reports the fundraise may be structured in two stages, with the second tranche potentially offering a higher valuation, and both expected to close within the year. The valuation surge comes as venture funding for the defense tech sector more than doubled in the first half of the year to over $12 billion, surpassing the nearly $10 billion raised in all of 2025. TechCrunch notes this growth is driven by demand for AI, autonomous craft, and drones amid conflicts in Eastern Europe and the Middle East.

Anduril has secured contracts with NATO, the U.K. Defence Ministry, the Dutch Ministry of Defence, Poland, and the U.S. Army, Air Force, and Department of Defense. The company reported its 2025 revenue reached $2.2 billion, more than double the previous year's figure.

The trend toward "attritable" systems—cheaper, expendable hardware—is a central theme in recent sector deals. Other examples include Helsing raising $1.8 billion at an $18 billion valuation this month, Shield AI raising $1.5 billion in March, and Mach Industries reaching a $1.8 billion valuation last month. Mach CEO Ethan Thornton stated the company designs systems at a significantly lower cost than traditional contractors, citing autonomous drone use in Ukraine.

Anduril's investor base includes Founders Fund, Andreessen Horowitz, Thrive Capital, ICONIQ, Flux Capital, Greycroft, Altimeter, 1789 Capital, and U.S. Vice President JD Vance, per PitchBook.
